Hamiltons secures planning consent at Snow Hill, Birmingham
The 67,000 m2 new office tower steps from 13 storeys at the southern end of the site up to 29 storeys at its northern end, the junction of Snow Hill Queensway and St Chad’s Queensway. The highest point of the tower has been positioned at this prominent location to contribute to a new gateway entrance to Birmingham.
A triple height pedestrian walkway creates a stunning new route through to Weaman Street, significantly enhancing the existing public realm.
The building comprises 37,500 m2 net of office accommodation, 1,500 m2 of single and double height retail space and three levels of basement parking.
A fully glazed central atrium has been cut through the lower portion of the building creating a dramatic space spanned by a series of pedestrian bridges and providing a visual link between the public and private domains.
“The dramatic form of the scheme compliments and contributes to the overall development at Snow Hill as an extension of the business district. The Team has enjoyed and benefitted from working with Kenmore to create such a prestigious building.”
Paul Birch, Director, Hamiltons.
