Hamiltons won an invited competition to deliver a masterplan for this 4 ha site close to Birmingham?s city centre. The scheme takes advantage of the demolition of the inner ring road to re-integrate Birmingham Eastside with the existing city centre.
The outline planning permission that has been achieved provides for 130,000 sqm of office, residential, hotel, and leisure uses.
The masterplan is designed to create a new city quarter with it?s own special sense of place and vibrant community, while integrating the area, once again into the city centre. The site incorporates new open space for the city and incorporates the historic Curzon Street Station which acts as a gateway.
