Niall studied architecture at Queen’s University Belfast and Edinburgh College of Art. After a year working and travelling in Japan, he joined Foster + Partners in 1993. Niall worked on a variety of public buildings including Canary Wharf Station on the Jubilee Line Extension, a new terminal building at London Luton Airport; the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow and City Hall in London. He also worked on a number of commercial office buildings at More London including a headquarters building for Ernst & Young. Niall was made a Project Director of Fosters in 2001.
Since joining Hamiltons in 2002, Niall has completed a new headquarters building for Mid Bedfordshire District Council and Holmewood, a private house near Marlow. Niall’s current projects include Masterplan proposals for the regeneration of Manchester Victoria Station and the surrounding area; a private residential project in Highgate and Park House a mixed use, whole city block development diagonally opposite Selfridges on Oxford Street.
Niall is also responsible for his team’s training and recruitment.
