Robbie studied Interior Architecture and Design at The Nottingham Trent University graduating in 2000. After graduating he joined Foster + Partners to work on the Cisco Systems new European Headquarters building in Munich specifically working on space planning and FF&E to allow for multi-tenancy and single user occupation.

He subsequently went on to play a leading role in the fit out design of the base and top of the building at 30 St Mary Axe from concept design through to completion and oversaw all aspects of the detailed design and implementation. He also worked extensively on a large residential project for Urban Splash in Altrincham, Manchester known as ‘The Budenberg Haus Projekt’ encompassing the design of the internal plans and apartment layouts, interfaces between base-build and fit out elements and the development of kitchen and bathroom concepts. His last project at Fosters was a significant residential development in Milan, known as ‘Milano Santa Giulia’ where he was responsible for the delivery of a purpose-built marketing apartment.

Robbie joined Hamiltons in 2005 and is currently working on Castle House, a pioneering residential development forming part of the regeneration of the Elephant & Castle, London.
