Barbara graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Having spent a brief period working in Houston, Texas, Barbara then returned to South Africa where she worked for a number of years on projects mainly within the hotel and gaming sector.

Barbara came to the UK and joined Hamiltons Architects in 2003. During her five years at Hamiltons, she has worked on a variety of projects at various stages of the design process, including large scale residential schemes, mixed use proposals and office developments in London, Harrow and Birmingham. She has recently completed a bespoke 100,000ft2 industrial warehouse, and the new headquarters for the Home Office IND incorporating a number of sustainable initiatives. Planning approval has recently been granted for Barbara’s latest project, a 29-storey office tower in Birmingham.

Barbara was promoted to Associate in 2008.
