Michael studied at Sheffield University and began his career working for practices in Leeds, being responsible for the redevelopment of Royal Windsor Race Course.
Having been made a Director of WGP (becoming SMC Group), he moved to London to set up a new office. He was then responsible for setting up and becoming Managing Director of a new division – SMC Sport and Leisure.
An alliance between SMC and Hamiltons led to Michael’s role in three major projects; new pavilion at Headingley Cricket Ground, Imperial College London design competition and a major office scheme at Canary Wharf, London.
Michael joined Hamiltons as an Associate in 2008 and is developing design for the redevelopment of the existing Ford County Ground for Essex County Cricket Club.
