Miguel Kalyan

Miguel studied Architecture at the University of Westminster, qualifying in 2004. Before graduating, he spent two years working in Switzerland for Rast Architekten AG and [ba] Architekten AG. Whilst there he worked on a series of projects including Mosermatte Musingen, a residential scheme overlooking the Swiss Alps, Wettbewerb Psychiatrischer Dienst, a competition scheme for a Psychiatric Hospital Ward and Wettbewerb Betriebsbauten Flugplatz, a competition winning scheme for a Swiss Army 999 Facility.

After graduating, he joined Hamiltons Architects in June 2004 and he has worked on a variety of projects at various stages of the design process, including large residential schemes, office developments and mixed use masterplans.

Miguel has worked on Artist and Residential Studio’s for a urban regeneration scheme in Hackney, a mixed use masterplan for Catford Stadium and a HQ office building for the Home Office which incorporates a number of sustainable initiatives. Miguel is currently working on the development of high rise landmark schemes in Southwark and the City of London and a 25 storey residential tower close to the London 2012 site.

Miguel was promoted to Associate in 2008.
